Individual health coaching

Health coaching is a partnership that aims to help you make sustainable, long-term changes towards health and wellbeing using evidence-based techniques and strategies which are informed by behaviour change science. It is based on the recognition that you are the expert in your own life.

It can be useful:

  • If you would like to make some lifestyle changes for a chronic health condition or to reduce your long terms risks for chronic illness but don’t know where to start

  • If you know what you want to do and have already tried to make some changes, but have found them difficult to sustain

  • If there is a lot going on in life and you are struggling with the juggle of health and other commitments

With individual coaching I work with you to discuss your current health challenges and what you’d like to achieve. Together, we develop a customised plan designed to fit with your personal needs and lifestyle. Through our sessions, we will focus on building newer, healthier habits to improve your health and achieve your health-related goals, checking in regularly and adapting as needed.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes initially, with regular shorter check-in appointments depending on your individual needs and schedule going forward. Medicare rebates are available in most circumstances. A referral from your regular GP (and ongoing collaboration with your permission) is preferred but not required for a consultation.
